Rajinikanth’s ‘Rana’ commenced yesterday as announced. After the customary pooja at the Ganesh Temple inside the AVM Studios premises, ace director Panju Arunachalam clapped the board while Rm Veerappan switched on the camera and Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachander directed the first shot at around 9:45 am.

Those present at this event were Rajini’s wife Latha, daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, Muktha Srinivasan, KRG, SP Muthuraman, RC Shakthi, R Thiagarajan, Kavignar Vaali, AVM Saravanan, Ram Kumar Sivaji, Prabhu, RB Choudhuray, P Vasu, Suresh Krissna, Cho Ramasamy, SA Chandrasekar, Sundaram, Raghuram and others.

‘Rana’ under K.S.Ravikumar’s direction, stars Rajini, Deepika Padukone, Ileana, Sonu Sood and others. Music is by AR Rahman and lyrics are being penned by Vairamuthu.

RAJNI KANTH'S RANA STARTS TODAY

To put an end to long weeks of speculation on when Superstar rajinikanth’s next movie rana will start, it is announced in the media today that the mega movie of Rajini – Rana – is starting today in a big set at AVM Studio in Chennai.

Rana team has made the official advertisements in the media about the start of the movie from today. It is also learnt that a Rana Song Sequence with Rajini and Deepika to be shot first.

Mr.Perfect Movie Review

THE STORY-Vicky (Prabhas) who lives in Australia grows with a rule that he would never compromise for anything he doesn’t like. Given his practical thinking, he wants everything to be perfect, even in relationships. The marriage of his sister gets him to India and here he meets Priya, daughter of his father’s friend (Murali Mohan). As such, Vicky’s father (Nasser) wants him to get married to Priya.

Initially, both Vicky and Priya feel repulsive but in no time, Priya starts falling in love. She begins to change herself to suit Vicky’s life and thoughts. However, when the moment comes, Vicky gives his practical outlook and returns to Australia.

Here, he meets Maggi (Taapsee) through a competition and feels she is the perfect one. How perfect is Maggi for Vicky? How true is Priya’s love for Vicky? How correct is Vicky in his thoughts? All this forms the rest of the story.

SS Rajamouli's Eega takes off

Ace director SS Rajamouli's upcoming movie Eega was launched yesterday (December 07) at Ramanaidu Studios. Dr. D Ramanaidu gave green signal to the movie by switching on the camera and VV Vinayak tapped the clap board for the first shot. Film's lead stars Sudeep, Naani and Samantha featured in the first scene, which was directed by K Raghavendra Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajamouli said that it is an experimental movie, where a villain kills the hero and latter reincarnates as eega. The movie will have high end computer graphics but it is not an animation film. It is a live-action film, says director.

Sudeep is doing full-fledged role in Telugu for the first time. He said that he has seen all the movies of SS Rajamouli. The current movie is different and he has a challenging role in the film, says actor.

Venkatesh, Junior NTR, Ram Charan Teja, Ravi Teja, Guru Kiran, MM Keeravani Sunil, Ali, Venu Madhav, D Suresh Babu and others graced the occasion.

Chiru’s approval needed for Ramcharan’s Merupu

Yeah, what you read is absolutely true! If the sources are to be believed, Chiru is taking care of Ram Charan career after the failure of Orange. Ram Charan Teja’s film Merupu landed in troubles because of Merupu director Dharani. The director has reportedly quoted high budget for Merupu and Chiranjeevi is not happy with this budget.

So Chiru asked Dharani to cut down the budget of Merupu. So it seems that Chiru’s approval needed for future progress of this project. We knew from the sources that Dharani is busy in rearranging the budget.

Let’s wait to see what happens.

Mahesh's dookudu

Mahesh Babu’s new upcoming film "Dookudu" shooting is presently going on in Dubai, where they will shoot few songs and a fight scene. This movie has completed its first scheduleshooting part in Turkey. The film unit will return to India for the third schedule shooting.

The film is being directed by Sreenu Vytla and Produced by Achanta Ram, Achanta Gopinath and Anil Sunkara under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. This banner earlier produced Namo Venkatesha movie with Hero Venkatesh under Sreenu Vytla direction.Music is scoring by Thaman.

The other casts include Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Shiyji Shinde, Vennela Kishore etc.
